Yes, actually, my brother in law is employed as a security contractor (their most infamous service capacity!). I wondered the same thing until my sister started dating the aforementioned Blackwater contractor, and apparently there is a fair amount of minority representation--more than the allegations that BW is a 'radical right' organization would lead you to think, certainly.
