When people think of a police state they usually think of East Germany's Stasi, Stalin's KGB or the Saudi Monarchy. A police state in America would look much different.
As the Bush administration calls for increased surveillance of the American public while defending the new tactics of torture and pre-emptive wars, many people jump to the conclusion that the American government is trying to impose martial law on the country. While they are correct in assuming that there are a lot of people in the government and military who have fascist tendencies, it's a mistake to think that the threat comes from the government, whose very purpose is to stop such a thing from occurring.
It was Calvin Coolidge who famously said, "The business of America is business." America's police state looks much different from the state-run totalitarian regimes we're used to. It has been privatized.
The internet is the most useful tool ever devised to keep records on people and their behavior. Technology has always been used to track the public, from the early census bureau card files to Thomas Watson's IBM computers which were used to track Jews by Adolph Hitler. Today, just about everyone in America has been identified and categorized. Private corporations know where the gays, the blacks and the Jews are. It's an easy cross-index in one of their huge data farms.
It's comfortable to bury our head in the sand and ignore the dimensions of the problem and hope that there's no one out there who means us harm. 9/11 taught us that we ignore such threats to our survival at our own peril.
Surveillance of the public is nothing new. I live in Southern California where the right wing kept files on anybody who was seen as a threat, from alleged communists to labor leaders to anybody they didn't like. The local businessmen were behind it, it was called the Better American Federation. Just a few years ago, the Los Angeles Police Department was caught with two and half million dossiers on Southern Californian citizens. The Chief of police was caught working with the John Birch society copying them. This information is documented in the book, "Suburban Warriors" by Lisa McGirr and also by the Los Angeles Times.
A troubling aspect of federal law is that there are strict guidelines in place governing the ways in which the government can collect information on its citizens, but there's a loophole that says they can use any information that a private company gathers on its own. That means the information collected by a company such as First American, is fair game and can be included in government research of its citizens . In the case of First American, that would includes drug tests, background checks, credit histories, and even illegal activities done with private detectives like surveillance, spying, and phone tapping.
Reactionary conservatives control mountains of information about you, from your school records to your medical history. The far right control the nation's credit bureaus, insurance companies, and title companies. They are the developers and builders of your community. Their banks know your financial transactions and they control the local police. They control who moves into neighborhoods and who gets what jobs. They play a huge part in selecting who gets into graduate schools and who will be allowed up the next rung of the economic ladder. Right wingers control the polls, telling us what America thinks, they are the owners of newspapers and media companies that filter our news. They even control the voting machines, America's ongoing scandal. The right wing has become the gatekeepers of American society.
The internet has just made it so much easier. You can be certain that there are people in the business world who have developed extensive files on liberals and other freedom loving people. Everything you write online, every person you communicate with, every thought you have can easily be swept up and saved. It's easy for these people to know what their opposition is thinking and doing, but it's equally easy to marginalize those they don't like.
There is a reason our neighborhoods are segregated and inner city schools are failing. There's a reason one out of four black men have a criminal record. There is a reason the left's leadership has been systematically eliminated over the years. It is easy to marginalize dissent and shape opinion.

Who Would Hillary Vote For?
I sometimes wonder, if Hillary Clinton wasn't in the presidential race, if she was just an ordinary person like you and me trying to decide who to vote for, whether she'd be a supporter of Barack Obama or candidate B.
It would be hard to ignore Obama's charisma, his sense of humor and his soaring oratorical skills. On the other hand, candidate B is a better debater and has more experience, although appearing slighly stiff and wonkish.
Candidate B has grown accustomed to limousines and the privileged high society life of five star hotels and luxury resorts. Obama has lived a life like the rest of America and knows the burden that college loans and gas prices have on the average person.
Hillary wants the troops home as soon as possible, good for her. There's no doubt then that she would support Obama who opposed the catastrophic war before it started, while candidate B actually made the war possible by voting for its authorization.
Candidate B is a polarizing figure that is disliked immensely by over half the country. While Obama calls for unity and has broad support, attracting Independents and Republicans.
Candidate B is a woman and Hillary would certainly like that. Women's issues are big with Hillary and this would outweigh a lot of other factors. However, she might feel that in order not to appear weak, Candidate B might get the country into even more trouble. She would have to weigh this against Obama who, with two little girls of his own, has plenty of reasons to promote women's issues.
Hillary would be very excited about the potential of having an African-American president. The positive effects on world opinion are incalculable. The effects that this would have in minority communities would be fantastic. It would affirm the American dream that we are all created equal and that anyone can grow up to be president.
Of course, Hillary would be pragmatic. If she thought America was still too racist to elect Obama, she might decide to vote for candidate B. Candidate B has more experience, has been through political wars that almost destroyed her Party, and has a phalanx of political professionals that can get down in the dirt with the best of them.
A lot of people want a president to be a positive role model. Obama has a beautiful family and it's easy to imagine him dancing happily in his wife's arms at the inaugural. Candidate B is a great person, but there are a few issues in her personal life that most people don't want to deal with. This is an easy one for Hillary.
Health care would be one of the biggest concerns for Hillary the voter. Candidate B has already had the chance of improving the nation's health care policies and failed. Would she think that candidate B would do better the next time, or would she want someone new to take on the challenge?
The biggest argument against candidate B is that she is part of a pair of political families that seem to have established a stranglehold on the White House. You would have to think that Hillary would not like to see a continuation of this, as it smacks of nepotism and dynastic privilege.
In the end, Hillary would make her decision based on what she think's is best for the future. Would she be more excited about an energized, youthful president with great leadership skills who's calling for change, or would she want to retreat to the safety of what's she knows and what she's comfortable with?
I think we all know who Hillary would vote for. Nobody really thinks Candidate B is the better choice. If things were different, it's easy to imagine Hillary Clinton being the loudest cheerer at an Obama rally.
Hillary helped build the Bridge to the 21st Century, but it's probably time she stepped aside and let pass the next generation who it's been promised to.

The Most Important Story You'll Ever Read
Urgent: Please pass this on to Barack Obama and the other presidential candidates, local law enforcement, government officials, and everyone else you know.
John Lennon was assassinated 27 years ago, one month before Ronald Reagan assumed office. That was a long time ago, but it should be a reminder to all people who work for change and promote peace that there are people out there who are willing to do anything to extinguish the flame of hope and turn this country in the direction of division and violence.
Before Lennon, there was Robert Kennedy, Martin Luther King, and John Kennedy. Over my lifetime, the entire leadership of the left has been systematically eliminated in a violent wave that resembles places like Pakistan and El Salvador more than it does the United States I thought I knew.
This article is the result of five years of work. There will be attempts to tear it down by ridicule and misdirection, but realize that it is intellectually sound and thoroughly researched. It took me years to accept what I now have no doubts about, so I understand how difficult a new reader will have accepting my conclusions. Don't back away, your country depends upon you.
The story is a simple one; the terrorism and violence Americans have come to accept over the last half century is the work of white supremacists and a neo-Nazi movement based in Southern California. The threat is real and ever-present. Because the next President of the United States will most likely be decided this coming Tuesday, it is imperative that we act now.
That's a lot to digest and I'm sure I lost a lot of people who've been conditioned to react to this topic by running to the hills with their hands over their ears, but if you care about your country, you'll hear me out. The facts are indisputable.
Most people don't know that the man who shot Ronald Reagan, John Hinckley was a neo-Nazi. The insane, Jodie Foster-loving assassin story is what's crazy. Read my article, Who Shot Ronald Reagan? if you have any doubts.
What about James Earl Ray, the man who shot Martin Luther King? Yes, it's true, he was a Nazi. Can you accept that, or does the word Nazi send you into fits of denial? If you want to know more read, What Are James Earl Ray's Connections to Southern California?
Would it surprise you that the man responsible for the Oklahoma City bombing was a disciple of William Pierce, the leader of the modern white supremacy movement? That's right, Timothy McVeigh was a Nazi. There's that awful word again. To understand what you're afraid of, you might want to read, What Do You Know About the Oklahoma City Bomber?
Robert Kennedy was gunned down in Los Angeles by an anti-Semite from Pasadena who had more in common with Adolph Hitler than the Beach Boys. Surprised? You shouldn't be by this point, but I suspect that the name Hitler threw you for a loop. Don't worry, I didn't make him up. Hitler's an actual historical figure who can be discussed without fear, and if you have kids you might want to, because most school shootings are carried out by his followers. Read, Whatever Happened to Sirhan Sirhan? to get up to speed.
Most people would rather believe the words of an assassin than their own common sense. Mark Chapman killed John Lennon and wanted us all to think he murdered his idol because he thought the peace-loving musician was a phony. If you think this is ridiculous, you're not alone. Chapman was a right wing racist who hated John Lennon from the start. Read, Who Killed John Lennon? to judge for yourself.
I hesitate to bring up the next name as I'm sure it will empty the room; Lee Harvey Oswald. I cannot convince you of this easily. No matter how I approach this subject, people run out of the room with their hair on fire. Suffice it to say, there is no doubt in my mind that Lee Oswald was a white supremacist. Judge for yourself by reading, Was Lee Harvey Oswald a White Supremacist?
Finally, I have a multitude of areas I'm pursuing in regard to recent terrorist incidents. It appears that the Nazi movement is alive and well and operating with Arab extremists. Read, Why Do We Call the Muslim Brotherhood al-Qaeda?, Is Khalid Sheik Mohammed Connected to the American Nazi Movement?, and What Was William Pierce Doing in the Last Years of His Life? to get a better idea of what I'm talking about.
The evidence is overwhelming and speaks to the urgency of acting quickly to prevent future terrorist attacks and assassinations. Spread this story! Immediately share it with those who might be victimized by people plotting murder as we speak. Share it with everyone you know and help stop more violent acts of political terrorism from occurring.

What Do You Know About the Oklahoma City Bomber?
On April 19th, 1995, Timothy McVeigh detonated 5000 pounds of explosives in front of the Murrah building killing 168 people. He was captured wearing a t-shirt celebrating John Wilkes Booth and he had a copy of The Turner Diaries beside him. McVeigh was a neo-Nazi racist and a follower of William Pierce. He was executed exactly three months before 9/11 for his part in the Oklahoma City bombing. Along with Terry Nichols, it is speculated that McVeigh had help from other Nazis, racists, and Islamic extremists.
McVeigh appears to be connected to Elohim City, a notorious Christian Identity settlement along the Arkansas/Oklahoma border. The ties to Elohim and the Oklahoma City bombing are numerous; McVeigh made a phone call there just before the bombing, the bombing was the same day that Elohim resident Richard Snell was executed for carrying out Turner Diary-type murders, and McVeigh had a relationship with Andreas Strassmeir, a neo-Nazi from a prominent family in Germany who lived at Elohim.
Strassmeir drilled hate groups who visited Elohim in military tactics, including the Aryan Republican Army and the Silent Brotherhood. He was quietly allowed to leave the country soon after the bombing and was only questioned over the phone nine months laster. The BBC reports that, "Strassmeir met Tim McVeigh at a gun show in 1993, Tim McVeigh had tried to call him on 5 April 1995 and the undercover informant Carol Howe said Strassmeir had plans to 'destroy the US government' with direct actions and operations 'such as assassinations, bombings, and mass shootings'." ATF agent Carol Howe, who could have provided evidence of Strassmeir's and Elohim City's involvement with the Oklahoma City bombing, were not allowed to testify in McVeigh's trial. Judge Richard Matsch ruled that her testimony was not relevant.
Most people are surprised to learn that Timothy McVeigh is a neo-Nazi. The media portrayed him as part of the militia movement, a religious fanatic, a right wing zealot, a drug user, a loser, as part of the survivalist movement that was sweeping the nation. Throw everything against the wall and hope it sticks. How about calling him what he was, an American Nazi.

Besides Andreas Strassmeir and the Elohim City neo-Nazis community, there are reasons to believe that the Muslim Brotherhood might have been involved in the bombing. If that's the case, it would be highly significant as it would link the American Nazi movement with Islamic extremists six years before 9/11. Top terrorist officials, including Richard Clarke, believe that there is a high probability that Terry Nichols met with Ramzi Yousef and the Muslim Brotherhood in the Philippines at Cebu City. It is speculated that Nichols, who was an incompetent bomb maker before his numerous trips, learned how to make the Oklahoma City truck bomb there. Additionally, there are many who believe that Jose Padilla was an accomplice to McVeigh as he matches the sketch of John Doe #2. Padilla is the U.S. citizen and accused terrorist that the Bush administration has labeled an “enemy combatant". Padilla is held under secret confinement so little is known about his possible involvement.

Whatever Happened to Sirhan Sirhan
Sirhan Sirhan, or S.S. as I like to call him, grew up in Pasadena. He went to John Muir High School where he was part of the California Cadet Corps. Contrary to popular belief, S.S. wasn't a crazy Islamic extremist. Although he was the son of a Palestinian immigrant, his family was Christian and he attended a Lutheran church in Pasadena.
Warning: Do not read this paragraph if you're upset by facts.
S.S. was a Rosicrucian. His journal was filled with Rocicrucian imagery and symbols like the swastika. By coincidence, Adolph Hitler was an initiated Rosicrucian. Rosicrucians believe among other things, that all blacks must die before man can evolve.
You may now continue reading.
S.S. was a small man and turned to the world of horseracing to make his living. He was a frequent visitor to Orange County where he'd come down to the Santa Ana River to train horses. He was a pretty good jockey, not great, but then he took a bad fall that damaged his brain and that pretty much ended his career.
Because of his horseracing accident, S.S. went to ten different psychologists. They report that it was easy to plant ideas in S.S.'s head. On a side note, Orange County is home to the study of false memories, UCI’s research on implanted and real thoughts is world renowned. Elizabeth Loftus can tell you all about it. Apparently, it's remarkably easy to get inside people's heads through simple hypnosis and create false memories.
The extensive therapy S.S. was receiving made him the perfect subject. He was easy to put under hypnosis and it became very easy for psychologists to manipulate his behavior. S.S.'s diary showed how mentally unstable he was and how he was becoming increasingly agitated and anti-Semitic. You just have to read his journals to see what he was thinking. Here was an assassin with a paper trail a mile wide.
S.S. hated Jews with the passion of Hitler. When RFK promised to support the Jewish state of Israel, Sirhan had had enough. One year to the day that Israel had inflicted a humiliating defeat upon the Arab countries in the Six Day War of 1967, S.S. tried to kill Robert Kennedy.
S.S. went to the shooting range and shot for hours beforehand to practice. He got himself drunk, consuming four Tom Collins in the hours before the shooting. After having his last drink with a woman at the bar, S.S. made his way toward the quickly approaching candidate in the crowded kitchen pantry. Witnesses saw him lunge at Kennedy firing wildly. Some claim that twelve shots were fired, S.S's gun only held eight. This fact is hard to determine because LAPD's Daryl Gates destroyed all the evidence. It's almost unanimously agreed that none of his shots delivered the fatal bullet however, which was fired within inches of the back of RFK's head.
When S.S. was captured, he looked to be drugged and seemed to be in a trance. After the assassination, S.S. wouldn't talk. Abraham Lincoln Wirin, chief council for the Southern California branch of the ACLU, was the first attorney to see the accused assassin. He visited S.S. daily in his cell, but never represented him. Wirin is best known for having supported the internment of Japanese and for defending Nazis and their right to march. There's a revealing quote about A.L. Wirin in regard to the other Kennedy assassination; "I say thank God for Earl Warren. He saved us from a pogrom. He saved our nation. God Bless him for what he has done in establishing that Oswald was the lone assassin-- even if he was innocent."
S.S. had plenty of people who wanted to defend him. F. Lee Bailey and Marvin Belli tried to get in, but Wirin made sure it stayed with the local talent. Sirhan's attorneys were Grant Cooper and Emile Berman, both former attorneys for the Marines. The judge was Herbert Walker, USC Law, a Republican appointed by Earl Warren. Additionally, the criminalist and psychiatrists were all out of USC. Hypnosis continued throughout the trial.
S.S. was sentenced to death, but because California repealed the death penalty for a brief time, he was resentenced to life in prison. Access to S.S. is extremely restricted.

Was Lee Harvey Oswald a White Supremacist?
Lee Oswald had a father and brother who were both named Robert Lee Oswald. All three had been named after their idol, Robert E. Lee, the Confederate General who fought to uphold slavery. It appears the Oswald family fought over the name Lee, each wanted the honor of being addressed as their childhood hero.
Lee Oswald grew up in the Deep South, in Southern cities like New Orleans and Dallas. These were some of the most segregated and racist cities in the United States at the time and undoubtedly had a strong effect on the young man.
When Oswald's family briefly moved to Brooklyn, the Southern Lee Oswald was referred to as The Rebel, pitted against the Northerners he called Yankees. Oswald had a difficult time in the integrated Brooklyn school system and stopped going to school there. After joining the conservative Air Force-run Civilian Air Patrol, he signed up to join the Marines at seventeen, the only service that didn't allow blacks in during World War II.
Lee Oswald's California connections run deep. He went through basic training at Camp Pendleton Marine Base. He was stationed at the El Toro Marine Base in Irvine, California, before and after his trip to Japan. Oswald planned his trip to Russia from Orange County, obtaining his passport in Santa Ana. Few are aware that Oswald was immortalized by his friend in the Marines, Kerry Thornley. Thornley was a member of the anti-Civil Rights group, the John Birch Society and had no doubt of Lee's real intentions.
Those who are confused about how Lee was able to get to the Soviet Union, commit treason, and return to the State's without consequence might want to read my post, "Did the LAPD Send Lee Harvey Oswald to Russia?" After the Soviets failed to believe Oswald's professed Marxist-Leninism, he returned to Dallas and became close friends with Robert De Mohrehschildt. According to Lee’s wife Marina, De Mohrehschildt became his mentor. She said Lee followed him around like a puppy dog. De Mohrehschildt was an interesting fellow who had the odd habit of welcoming people with the salutation, "Heil Hitler." According to the Warren Commission, he once gave a speech praising Heinrich Himmler.
There's no doubt that John F. Kennedy's assassin claims that he was a communist. I suppose you can take his word for it, but I tend not to believe what murderers say. One of the more revealing things about Lee Oswald was that his favorite television show growing up had been, "I Led Three Lives.” It was about a double-agent who infiltrated communist meetings, but who was actually a heroic anti-communist.
Oswald started acting like a communist at the height of the Cold War in a place where communist hysteria was the norm. I don't know if you're familiar with Orange County, but it's slightly to the right of Atilla the Hun. Orange County's Congressional seat was held by a member of the John Birch Society. It was probably the most conservative and reactionary place in the nation. Orange County kept files on anybody who was seen as a threat, from alleged communists to labor leaders, to anybody they didn't like. It's hard to imagine Oswald acting the way he did there and getting away with it. It's not as if you have freedom of speech when you join the Marines either.
You've got to put yourself back in those times to get a clear picture. As a teenager and young man, Lee was an eyewitness to the the Civil Rights battles being fought in the South. The early 1960’s was a period when Civil War anniversaries were being celebrated almost daily. The Confederate flag was raised and waved more fiercely against Civil Rights demonstrators than the American flag was waved against the communists. It's easy to imagine the reaction of a Southerner, like Lee, seeing a Northerner in the White House who's taking away state's rights and sending troops to Alabama for the first time since Reconstruction. He would have been flabbergasted to see Martin Luther King marching on Washington and giving his "I have a Dream Speech". He undoubtedly cheered when he heard about the the Montgomery Church bombing that killed four little girls.
Texas was a Confederate state, the last battle in the Civil War was fought there. There are reports that Oswald was seen trying to suppress black voters in Louisiana. Lee was the Deep South, probably the most segregated place in the country, a place where the lowliest of lows, men like Oswald, could feel superior to African-Americans and, ultimately, the President who he felt supported them.
After killing the President, Oswald was arrested proudly wearing his Marine Corps ring. Inside his address book was a number for Alexandria, Virginia. The number was for the American Nazi Party, George Lincoln Rockwell's outfit. After his death, his mother viewed Lee as a hero. She once said, "My son has done more for his country than any other living human being." His grave is marked by a Christian cross.
It's curious that there aren't any books extolling the theory of Oswald being a white supremacist. There seems to be every imaginable theory out there in the thousand or so books on the JFK assassination, but none that I can find that asserts what I believe to be the most obvious theory of them all. But don't believe me, believe one of the biggest racists of all time, Birmingham, Alabama's sheriff, Bull Connor. Connor knew what he was saying when he called Lee
Harvey Oswald, “a Southern hero like John Wilkes Booth." There can be no doubt that Lee Harvey Oswald was a white supremacist.
Should There Be Another Scots-Irish President?
Many are surprised to learn that at least 35 of the 42 American presidents have their roots in Ulster Ireland. That's over 80%. After the Civil War, there was an uninterrupted period of Scots-Irish presidents for 63 years straight! Since World War II, 56 of the 63 years have seen the White House controlled by a Scots-Irish man.
Who are the Scots-Irish? They are Scottish people who settled in Northern Ireland before coming to America. They are Protestants whose roots go back to Oliver Cromwell and William of Orange. They are very clannish and proud of their Scottish roots. This explains Bill Clinton's affinity for the Bush family and Ronald Reagan and Richard Nixon's close relationship.
It is strange that so many of our presidents come from such a small location on the planet as Ulster-Ireland. What does this fact portend for the future?
First, it explains why Rudy Giuliani never had a chance. The Scottish media would never allow it. (Chuck Todd, Charlie Rose, Chris Wallace, Harry Smith, Anderson Cooper, Candy Crowley, Lou Dobbs, John King, Glenn Beck, Campbell Browne, Britt Hume, Cynthia McFadden, Terry Moran, Jake Tapper, Charlie Gibson, Diane Sawyer, Brian Williams, John Harwood, Pat Buchanan, Andrea Mitchell, Mark Potter, Chip Reid, Jim Lehrer, Michael Duffy, Jamie McIntyre, Kyra Phillips, Nic Robertson, Shephard Smith...)
Second it explains the annointed front runners of Hillary Clinton and John McCain. Barack Obama, John Edwards and Mitt Romney have Scottish blood too. Take it farther and you'll see that John McCain has the upper hand. The others, a woman, an African-American, and a Mormon, have obvious weaknesses.
Maybe you've noticed the orange ties and the orange scarves. These candidates have chosen orange as their fashion statement for a reason. The Orangemen of Ulster have a long history understood by many voters. It is also why Hillary chose KT Tunstall, a Scottish lass, to sing her campaign song.
The Scots have had their time in the Oval Office. I say it is time for a change. NO MORE SCOTS-IRISH PRESIDENTS!
I'm sure you've heard it before, the American presidency is the domain of old, white males. It is in fact, the domain of old, white men of Scottish background. There have been no Italian, Greek, Spanish, Norwegian, Russian, Slavic, or French heritage presidents. It is a mistake to tar all white men for the stranglehold that the Scots-Irish have on the presidency.
